The candidate will perform systems administration duties for multiple servers in multiple security domains. The Systems Administrator’s responsibilities include, but not limited to, ensuring daily operations, performing routine maintenance activities, implementing baseline changes, responding to change requests; documenting changes, maintaining configuration documentation, performing technical evaluations, analysis, troubleshooting, and restore for all supported servers; building servers by providing technical configuration, setup, installation services, hardware and coordination of application projects, and performing patch management. The Systems Administrator will also track server capacity, ensure server performance thresholds at operating in accordance with industry standards based on the life of the server, collaborate with networks and storage teams continually to ensure the infrastructure capability is providing the most effective and efficient performance. Coordinate with internal providers on requirements. Participate in the appropriate governance forums.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience rebuilding, testing, restoring, and performing routine maintenance activities for windows and Linux based OS operating as physical and virtual servers entities.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience using network tools in a fast pace environment to maintain and/or improve the environment, measure performance, diagnose/fix problems, and monitor servers.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience operating and maintaining multiple physical and virtual servers in multiple security domains.
Demonstrated on-the-job experience through examples how you participated in/contributed to a IPT (Integrated Product Team). Specifically address your contribution as the IT Network Mgr/Server Administrator/System Engineer/System Admin POC, the outcome, being a critical thinker and a self motivator. (Note: the IT titles can be used synonymously).
Demonstrated on-the-job experience documenting changes, maintaining configuration control, and keeping a system security accreditation in good standing.
