About the Position:
This position will be filled at the GS-09 level with promotion potential to the GS-11, which is full performance.
This position is with the Information Management Division (IMD), MEDDAC, located at Evans Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson, CO.

As an Information Technology Specialist, GS-09 you will receive on-the-job and/or formal training to develop the knowledge and skills to advance to full performance of the duties of the GS-11 level position indicated below:
Individually or as a team member, you will perform computer application acquisition, deployment and maintenance for clinical and administrative activities within the medical activity (MEDDAC), and perform independent research and evaluation in the area of applications suitability to meet business processes, capacity for virtualization, feasibility of centralized delivery and maintenance, graphical user interface (GUI) design, and program architecture for MEDDAC Clinical and Administrative staff.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience related to customer service principles, installed system bases, information assurance principles, methods and procedures for documenting software application implementation, and problem resolution at the advanced Tier 2 and 3 levels.
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade, which is the GS-07 level.
You must also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

A master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
Foreign education must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency in order to be considered for this position. You must include this information with your application package.
