Facility Description:

Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute is a 365-bed acute care hospital. Home to the Treasure Coast Level II Trauma Center, it provides life-saving care for patients with critical injuries from St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee and Martin counties. The Administrative Director of Laboratory is responsible for directing the 24-hour operations and activities of the clinical laboratory to meet organizational and regulatory requirements. Responsible for laboratory specimen collection, specimen management, clerical functions, in-house and referral testing services. _ _ _Job Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:_ * Concurrently monitors employee and departmental performance to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, timelines and regulatory requirements * Develops monitoring systems for the collection, documentation and reporting of quality assessment and improvement data; extracts pertinent information from quality assessment and improvement studies, initiates corrective action plans, and re-monitors results * Ensures that departments proactively respond to feedback from customers (internal and external) and implements improvement mechanisms to enhance the overall ability of the department to meet the customer’s needs for laboratory services * Responsible to ensure the weekly and monthly corporate key indicators are an accurate measurement of past and current performance for a basis for proactive response to a changing environment * Prepares and submits capital expenditure requests, department projections and annual budget. * Provides direction to department personnel to achieve operational and technical objectives including workflow design, service quality, financial performance, regulatory compliance, personnel management, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities. * Effectively works with all levels of IRL and hospital management and employees to ensure a service delivery system, which sets standards of excellence in terms of quality, response time, and overall user satisfaction. #LI-EFL

Required Job Qualifications include: * Nationally recognized certification as a medical technologist or equivalent. * Must have Florida Supervisor’s license * Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology required * Post Graduate Degree preferred * Minimum 3 licensures in following specialty areas required, licensure in all preferred: o Blood Bank/Immunohematology o Chemistry o Hematology o Histology o Microbiology o Serology/Immunology * More than 5 years of experience at a supervisory level in a clinical laboratory setting required * Previous Director experience strongly preferred * Must have strong knowledge of laboratory regulations. * Strong team work and collaboration abilities. * Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills / / /Please Apply Online Now!!/ / / /Keywords: Supervisor, ASPC, Administrative Director, Lab, Lab Services, hospital lab, Senior Technologist, Technologist Supervisor/
