Your tasks and responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role, Customer Business Analyst - Drug Channel (Framingham, MA) are to: • Assist in the development of annual national, customer or channel specific trade plans by brand/category, focusing on Bayer brand business goals and Customer Requirements. May assist Customer Business Manager in presenting these plans. • Mine all data sources including consumer/shopper insights and syndicated data to provide insights that help in the development of the four sales controllables: o Promotional o Pricing o Distribution o Shelving • Conduct competitive analysis and category reviews to identify distribution, pricing, and promotional gaps and provides account recommendations based on findings. Helps to identify opportunities to increase volumes and decrease cost to improve ROI of all activities. May accompany and/or assist Customer Business Manager in customer presentation of recommendations and finding. • Collaborate with Field Sales and the Internal Bayer Organization to assist the Customer Selling Team in the following areas: o 4 P’s (promotional, placement, product/ assortment, pricing) o Timing o Trade activation needs o Customer response o Competitive Intelligence • Assist in the development and may assist in the presentation of new item presentation materials for Selling Teams: o Launch distribution goals o Promotional strategies and tactics o Shelving objectives o Shopper strategies and tactics o Pricing objectives • Assist in the development of selling stories including sales insights for the retailer. • Assist in reviewing sales performance, insights data, key initiatives, and new item launches with the customer to ensure robust plans are in place and being executed • Develop and maintain weekly POS/Shipment reports to inform and track business trends on achieving annual, quarterly, and monthly sales goals. Develops and maintains performance tracking reports for the brand/category, new items, key initiatives, and competition.

More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: • Bachelors of Business Administration or equivalent studies in economics/management helpful with a minimum of 2 years’ of relevant business experience ideally within consumer package goods industry or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. • Incumbent should have strong skills around sales data analysis and reporting; capable of producing, analyzing and interpreting various reports and syndicated data. • Solid written and verbal communication skills that allow for clear and concise presentations. • Adaptability to a diverse working environment with the ability to work successfully with teams across the organization while being self-motivated. • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; results-oriented and must be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively. • Solid problem solving skills. • Strong computer literacy skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint. • Knowledge of syndicated sales reporting databases such as Nielsen and IRI preferred.
