Job Responsibilities/Department Description:
Job responsibilities: We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join a team of scientists in the Rare Disease Research group developing novel therapies to treat genetic kidney diseases. This individual will design and execute experiments for target validation, in vitro assay development, biomarker identification, in vivo model development, and in vivo efficacy testing.
Basic Qualifications: Requires a B.S. in biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a M.S. in biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline and a minimum of 3 years of experience. Experience with basic cellular or molecular biology techniques (such as mammalian cell culture, transfection, gene expression analysis, in vitro assay development, in vivodrug administration/injection, blood/tissue collection, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, or DNA/RNA isolation) is required.
Preferred Qualifications : Experience with assay development, automated liquid handling systems, or high content screening is desirable.
