Provide tactical EOD experience and subject matter expertise for instruction to EOD Technicians and other Military Personnel in operational level instruction on responding to an IED and Surface Ordnance incidents.
Provide instruction on current domestic and international terrorist threats, tactics and procedures to include; IED threats, explosive hazards and homemade explosives hazards.
Ensure students receive relevant information by providing lessons learned, and ensuring curriculum and training materials are specific to the training units' AOR.
Set up of practical IED problems for students to include command and control scenarios, bobby trap house set up and drill scenarios during Field Training Exercises.
Develops curriculum and continuously assess course materials and training aids for necessary improvements via research intelligence gathering and content revision.
Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems and independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
Provides subject matter expertise in the areas of Explosive Ordinance Disposal TTPs.
Contribute to curriculum improvements to course materials through continuous research, intelligence gathering and training revision.
Provide immediate feedback to question sets utilizing knowledge gained from extensive field experience and relevant information obtained through open source and classified communication channels.
Prepare and facilitate practical hands-on training with specialized EOD tools, protective equipment, detection and identification equipment/methods and the theory and application of electronic countermeasures.
Conduct assessments of students/participants to evaluate their learning progress and the effectiveness of instruction.
Bachelor's with 3 - 7 yrs. of experience, or a Master's and 1 to 5 yrs. of experience.
8-12+ years of professional experience can be substituted for degree.
Naval Explosive Ordnance School Graduate required. MANDATORY
Extensive technical knowledge of and experience in C-IED operations and Surface Ordnance EOD response. MANDATORY
Ability to conduct research using tools such as SIPR, periodicals, journals, open source Internet, etc. to identify and interpret evolving threats and innovations in techniques, tactics and procedures.
EOD Technician experience (5 years minimum) with extensive operational/leadership experience. PREFERRED
Graduate of military service instructor course or civilian equivalent. PREFERRED
Combined military/civilian (3 years for Sr., 1 year for Jr.) of formal platform instructor experience.
Previous operational deployment or experience supporting an ACME/CEXC lab.
Recent military or civilian authorized to accompany military forces deployment.
Must meet minimum requirements to deploy globally. MANDATORY
Telecommute is possible, Fredericksburg VA preferred.
Travel requirements: >50-75% CONUS/OCONUS.
Secret Security Clearance.
