The RN Clinical Coordinator supervises the Command Center, which is the patient flow hub of Community Regional Medical Center.
The Clinical Coordinator’s primary role is supervision of the Command Center staff which consists of the Transfer Center, Bed Control, and the Bed Control Assistants. The incumbent in this position is accountable for evaluations, staffing operations, assisting with the hiring process with the manager of the Command Center, disciplinary proceedings, maintaining corporate and state licensing compliance, updating department policies, and maintaining the various functions and specific job roles. The Clinical Coordinator will need excellent communication and critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, strong knowledge of the roles of the department, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills. The Clinical Coordinator must also have leadership strength and the ability to represent the Command Center in meetings throughout the hospital and act on behalf of the Manager in the event of his absence.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
MINIMUM REQUIRED: Associate's Degree in nursing. Two years experience as a Registered Nurse with experience in discharge planning, case management or utilization management.
PREFERRED: Bachelor's Degree in nursing.
MINIMUM REQUIRED: Current California Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification.
PREFERRED: Accredited Case Manager (ACM) license; and/or Certified Case Manager (CCM) license.
