Future plans include building a women and children’s facility on campus and expanding with 65 additional beds. We’re affiliated with UCSF as a teaching facility and have trained 3,000 Medical Doctor’s to date plus remain investing in research and training grants.
The Labor and Delivery unit in Fresno, California, is a 32 bed unit that integrates services for high risk tertiary care combining labor and delivery and antepartum. This consists of 22 LDR rooms, 10 triage beds, and 3 surgical suites. We care for healthy mothers with healthy babies, as well as for mothers with complex diseases and high risk pregnancies such as: preeclampsia, diabetes, preterm labor, multiple gestations, and fetal anomalies. We place an emphasis on evidence-based practice, as well as encouragement and support for innovative research to improve patient outcomes.
Each year roughly 7,000 babies are born at Community Regional – making us one of the busiest birthing centers in California and the only one in the region designated to handle high-risk pregnancies.

Minimum requirements include:_ Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program. Current RN license for the state of California and BLS certification._
