Midwestern University Sr. Administrative Assistant - Dental Institute in Glendale, Arizona
The Senior Administrative Assistant provides general administrative and office support for the Department of Dental Medicine. The position reports to the AssociateDean of Clinical Education for the Dental Medicine Clinic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform administrative support duties e.g. typing, filing, organizing and maintaining files and records, copying, answering telephone calls, scheduling appointments and directing visitors
- Make travel arrangements, prepare itinerary and complete expense reports for travel
- Handle administrative details on all projects
- Meet regularly with the Assistant Dean
- Organize and maintain the storage and retrieval systems
- Update mail/phone directories
- Other duties may be assigned
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED and 3-5 years administrative support experience required. Experience working in a team and customer service oriented environment. Must be detail-oriented with excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Must have experience in coordinating projects; demonstrate ability to show flexibility; seek greater role in projects within administrative and other areas of competence; seek training on projects outside his/her range; take initiative on requests and inquiries of administrative nature.
Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
