Position at Renovation/Remodeling

The National Account Manager will be responsible for developing, managing and leading the implementation of strategies and programs to grow ITW sales and market share within the assigned account base that support the division’s annual and long-rang plans. This role focuses on building relationships and collaborating within customer and ITW organizations to facilitate growth while measuring progress toward account objectives and driving change to ensure objectives are met.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop high, deep and wide relationships with key decision makers and influencers at accounts to develop in-depth understanding of the customers’ businesses

  • Lead development of situation assessment/analysis of products categories at accounts, including mapping competitive landscape, product mix, end user base, profitability (ITW and customer), and pricing

  • Use knowledge and analysis to develop account specific strategies to place and grow ITW products at assigned accounts

  • Present strategic plans to accounts, gain commitment and implement strategies/tactics to drive sales plans

  • Act as internal connector and collaborate with internal resources to ensure alignment of plans

  • Work with direct lumberyard sales team and manage manufacturer reps to ensure attainment of objectives and sales goals

  • Utilize manufacturer reps to coordinate and attend customer sponsored trade shows to drive and grow ITW business and strategies

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree required

  • 5+ years selling experience with proven record of success

  • Retail account selling preferred

  • Proven experience influencing customers as well as , account penetration and relationship management

  • Exhibits strong selling skills coupled with financial/business acumen (consultative selling, negotiation, economic justifications, forecasting and key business metrics)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Travel (up to 50%) required
