ITW is seeking a Senior Sourcing Analyst to analyze segment specific commodity market data for the Specialty Products segment, and create comprehensive market summaries that will aid in sourcing strategies and analysis of key commodity market movement.
Utilize quantitative skills to analyze, validate, manipulate, and manage large amounts of data, specific to problem solving, project and decision support, and trend analysis of multi-projects assigned by management.
Develop and maintain monthly Segment savings reports at the Business Unit, Division, Platform and Business Unit, Business Group, and Corporate levels. Reconcile vs quarterly actuals.
Act as a central point of contact for the divisions and the eSourcing team to help ensure data requirements are structured properly and to enable standardized capture for data elements outside of GEP but required for the bid process.
Act as Database Administrator for the Segment Sourcing SharePoint site.
Support the annual long range and annual plan process for Segment Sourcing.
Develop project timelines and deliverables that meet project requirements and hold team members accountable for meeting their assigned deliverables.
Participate and lead special projects as assigned to support segment priorities.
Support key and strategic negotiations for the segment.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering, Procurement/Supply Chain, or Business
Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a data analyst. Direct materials purchasing experience strongly preferred
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Access). Experience with other relational databases such as SQL. Ability to perform complex analyses, building models, working with large sets of data, etc.
Proven track record in assisting with negotiations
Demonstrated experience in project management with the ability to support/manage projects over multiple businesses, with 5-20 stakeholders, and spend ranging from $5M to $100M/annually.
Ability to develop basic understanding of key segment commodities, including but not limited to: current market conditions, key cost drivers, global supply base, and industry terminology.
Demonstrated experience in leading and working with cross functional teams
Fast learner that demonstrates strong business acumen and strong written and verbal communication skills
Travel 10-15%, some international
