As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for new business development activities, resulting in new accounts. Accountable for meetinfg sales activity, revenue and gross margin objectives. Responsible for prospecting, networking and marketing potential candidates to discover and fulfill new business opportunities to help achieve our Mission goals.
Essential Job Functions:
Employ traditional and non-traditional sales prospecting techniques, including cold-calling, traditional networking, social media networking and membership in professional associations to build business contacts.
Schedule discovery and follow up meetings with potential clients and present solutions based on these meetings.
Develop and present proposals and presentations to potential clients.
Qualify potential customers by starting the credit process, determining client compliance expectations, negotiating price/ bill rates, obtaining signed contracts/ agreements, taking accurate and complete job orders and introducing appropriate Recruiting Consultant.
Maintain strategic relationships with key contacts within accounts, while developing new relationships to maximize account potential.
Track all client and prospect activity in eEmpact.
Work collaboratively with Recruiting Consultants to establish and strengthen client relationships and uncover pertinent information about organizational goals and objectives.
Participates in weekly meetings and provides regular updates to Managing Director and team with regard to the status of all current openings and any client management issues.
Speak confidently on Goodwill’s mission and vision to potential customers.
Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
Three plus years of previous sales experience, preferably focused on consultative sales.
Sound sales prospecting and networking skills, as demonstrated by previous work experience and sales success.
Ability to work with and retain information confidentially in both written and verbal form.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of three years related experience.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Prefer previous sales experience including employment processes.
Prefer previous customer service experience.
