Kettering Medical Center NURSE PRACTITIONER - FAMILY PRACTICE in Hamilton, Ohio
Description Seeking a APRN specializing in Family/Women's Health, would considered a credentialed nurse midwife, for a busy practice in the Hamilton area; First Choice Women's Health. The primary responsibility of this position will be to provide obstetrical care and attention to patients with a focus on patient experience and quality outcomes. Must have experience in Women's Health. Would consider a credentialed midwife for future strategic direction and practice growth. However, currently the midwife would not be delivering. Ability to communicate and relate well with staff, physician(s) and patients. Must have awareness of patient confidentiality and be able to follow directions well from physician and work autonomously with little direction. Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships and critical analysis skills. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work under stress. Must maintain competencies and skills in Women's Health. Demonstrates assessment skills, diagnosis with critical thinking and implementation of a plan of care. Professional Role- skill includes clinical reasoning and builds collaborative intra and inter-professional relationships to provide optimal care to expectant mothers who may have complex, critical and chronic illnesses. Skill of advocating on the behalf of the patient population and the profession through active participation in the health policy process. Managing and Negotiating Healthcare Delivery Systems - skill in addressing the development and implementation of system policies affecting services.
Requirements Educational Requirements:
Masters Degree required - National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice RN. Prescriptive privileges certification obtained or in process (must be completed within specified time frame). Certifications: RNC-OB preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities and Experience:
3-5 years of experience preferred Patient, courteous, and tactful
Ability to communicate and relate well with staff, physician(s) and the public.
Must have awareness of patient confidentiality and be able to follow directions well from physician(s) and work autonomously with little direction.
Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations and critical analysis skills
