The Lead Physical Design Engineer is responsible for field engineering & design activities related to the passenger stations, Guideway and Maintenance Storage Facilities.
The Lead Physical Design Engineer work includes the following:
Manage the design of physical placement of devices and equipment for deliverable packages. Design will meet all Technical Provision requirements and all other technical agreements (ICDDs, RFIs, FFC design, etc.).
Responsible for the generation, technical oversight, and review of the following:
Shop Drawings device placement for all ACS/IDS, CCTV, FOCN, PIS, TEL, SLAN, VRCS, and WCS domains. Also responsible for device placement of ICCS, INMS, and MMIS workstations and cabinets in the OCC/BOCC areas.
Wiring Diagrams for all COM subsystems referenced above, including Network Timing System (NTS).
Cabinet and Equipment Information for all COM subsystems references above, including rack layout, elevation, and loading details.
Bill of Materials for all COM subsystems referenced above.
Responsible for facilitating the generation of Acoustic Simulation and Field of View Studies for physical design deliverable packages, where required.
Generate marked-up (redline ) documents for all above deliverables incorporating customer comments. Also responsible for the disposition and delivery of comment sheets.
The Lead Physical Design Engineer has to coordinate with the customer and with Nokia site acceptance team on any matter related to field engineering & design activities.
As part of the integration there will be no formal company-wide review of grades, since in most cases there has been limited or no change to positions. Legacy grade structures will continue to exist for some time until future harmonization on the existing Nokia grade structure. The job grade shown is indicative, and may be subject to change such that the final grade may be higher or lower than shown in this requisition.
Engineering, preferably in telecommunications.
Understanding of the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation s network infrastructure
Resident in Honolulu to allow for a close collaboration of physical design and planning with the end customer.
Experience in Customer Management
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
