CGI is seeking a full-time Jr. to Mid-Level Division Order Analyst to handle multiple division order processes such as validation of decimals, conveyances, division of interest set-ups, and record maintenance. This position is located onsite at the CGI Houston office, and all benefits start on your first day of employment!
Must have strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines with minimal supervision.
Must be capable of analyzing complex contracts, legal documents, and title opinions to determine proper ownership and directing appropriate curative actions to satisfy applicable title requirements.
Will be responsible for calculating and confirming working and revenue interests on both company operated and outside operated division orders and will be responsible for establishing and maintaining ownership decks on properties.
Must have good interpersonal skills for resolving conflicts and issues that arise with interest owners and partners.
Knowledge of oil and gas marketing, production accounting, revenue accounting and disbursement functions also preferred.
Maintain ownership records and related title documents, Deeds, and Probate documentation for persons legally entitled to the proceeds of oil and gas production to fulfill the company's obligations and protect the clients assets.
Ensure division of interest information is timely, accurately, consistently and properly created and maintained in company systems.
Analyze Division Order Title Opinions and Drilling Opinions for set up. Work with assigned landman teams to cure requirements.
Establish and maintain producing properties: Property masters, owner records, revenue division of interests
Prepare and process Division Orders, Amended Division Orders and Transfer Orders
Send confirmation letters when lacking tax information and address changes
Request probate upon notification of deceased owners
Perform all decent and distribution duties
Final Decree of Distribution; copy of death certificates; Change owner to Exeutrix upon receipt of Letters Testamentary
Send out Affidavits of Heirship
Send general Division Order inquiries on producing wells
Answer all royalty owner inquiries directed to Division Order Analysts
Release owners from suspense
Perform escheat analyst
Maintain compliance with corporate policies and SOX standards. Insure timely payment of royalties in compliance with state statutes and agency requirements.
Coordinate resolution of working and royalty interest owner division of interest and/or payment problems.
Identify and coordinate resolution of issues with other divisions and departments
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Minimum of 3 years' of division order analyst experience in the oil and gas industry.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office is a must.
Team player with good communication skills and ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail in a high volume work environment.
Exposure to Artesia/Horizon is a plus, or prior experience with another industry recognized software suite managing the upstream back office for land management, field data capture, hydrocarbon accounting, and/or financial accounting. A four year Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Finance/Accounting, or Legal field education is preferred
