Passenger Service Expeditor

The PAX Expeditor will be primarily based at PAE’s Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC) in Baghdad, Iraq, and serve the Life Support Services contract in support of the State of Department. The PAX Expeditor will be responsible for utilizing resources to accomplish operational requirements and will report to the Terminal Operation Supervisor. The additional duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive:

  • Assist in/out bound passengers through screening, check-in and immigration procedures

  • Liaison with BDSC staff to arrange shuttle services to Mission Iraq sites

  • Assist VIP passengers and provide access to VIP lounges

  • Assist passengers by changing flight when cancellations occur

  • Ensures all documentation, packing, labeling and marking requirements have been met for cargo movements

  • Determines and implements necessary safety and security precautions for handling and storing dangerous materials, special cargo and baggage.

  • Prepares, completes, and maintains air movement’s records, documents, and reports

  • Selects, assembles, palletizes, and transports aircraft cargo loads to and from aircraft and storage areas

  • Checks cargo against manifests, and annotates overage, shortage, or damage

  • Secures cargo with appropriate devices and equipment

  • Exercises necessary safety and security precautions in handling and storing hazardous or special cargo

  • Experience in functions such as loading and unloading aircraft; operating automated or manual materials handling and other loading


  • Citizenship: US Citizenship is required

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent

  • License: Must have valid Driver’s License from home country

  • Experience: One (1) year Air Terminal Operations experience

  • Security Vetting : Must be able to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) security clearance, maintaining eligibility for the duration of the contract

  • Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination

  • Language Skills: Expert professional, oral and written English communication skills, to present, facilitate and disseminate information

  • Work Ethic: Commitment to maintaining a high performance team which delivers customer service excellence


  • Department of State experience

  • Hazmat certified for air cargo in accordance with Air Force Manual 24-204 or Title 49 CFR

  • One (1) year of international experience in challenging locations, preferably working in the Middle East, with a working knowledge of customs and cultural differences


  • Knowledge of ALL principles and processes involved in Air Terminal Operations

  • Ability to collect, analyze and summarize data and to prepare clear and concise reports

  • Exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment

  • Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.
