The Clinical Education Specialist is responsible for the strategic design, preparation and execution of hands-on training experiences for Professional Education under North America Global Education Solutions. The Clinical Education Specialist must partner with colleagues to effectively teach and train on the safe and efficacious use of Johnson & Johnson products in a lab setting to external Healthcare Professional customers. The Clinical Education Specialist will serve as the subject matter expert on anatomy, language of medicine, clinical procedures, disease states and technologies. The Clinical Education Specialist will also collaborate and align priorities with Sales, Global Education Solutions and Marketing leaders, to develop customized hands-on educational experiences that meet the goals and needs of multiple stakeholders. The Clinical Education Specialist will manage priorities, timelines and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. The Clinical Education Specialist will ensure compliance to all legal, environmental health and safety, regulatory and HCC policies including: IACUC, AAALAC, Advamed, Pharma, ACCME, AATB and other global legal and regulatory bodies.

The Clinical Education Specialist will:

  • Responsible for the completion of training is required for changes in existing policies and procedures, new assignments and implementation of new policies and procedures.

  • Promote safety to all associates and follow Health Care Compliance guidelines and operating room training and safety standards, such as Bloodborne pathogens training.

  • Teach and translate surgical procedures across several specialties, relevant disease states and appropriate product application

  • Train, mentor and coach new associates in human and animal anatomy, medical language, and the procedure steps and appropriate product application in surgical procedures across many specialties.

  • Be subject matter expert to the Johnson & Johnson business in Clinical Education, advising on appropriate models to meet learning objectives, hands-on education development and execution, and other clinical needs.

  • Collaborate with Professional Education across all levels, creating effective solutions to drive the education business plan and maintain partnerships with all stakeholders and third party vendors.

  • Lead Clinical Education projects through application of customer insights and strategic planning to develop and implement new education modalities.


  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required

  • A minimum 6 years related professional experience is required.

  • Experience in healthcare industry is also required.

  • Experience in a clinical setting or operating room is preferred.

  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory guidelines, such as HCC, IACUC, AAALAC, Advamed, Pharma, ACCME, AATB is preferred.

  • Understanding of and ability to learn new technologies and applications is required.

  • Experience leading projects and managing complex schedules is also required.

  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills are required.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, detailed oriented and ability to manage high volume is also required

  • This position may require the ability to work with cadaveric specimens

  • This position can be located in Raynham, MA; West Chester, PA; Cincinnati, OH; Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Irvine, CA or can be field based and may require up to 70% travel.
