The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center is a level 1B complexity facility located in Jackson, Mississippi, the state capitol. It consists of 7 Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) and a central campus co-located with the VISN 16 and VBA Regional Offices.

The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time board eligible or board certified Primary Care Physician. This is a unique opportunity to join a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) Primary format. The position offers the opportunity to provide outstanding medical care while utilizing state of the art technologies (including telemedicine) for your patients. The provider is expected to annually develop and evaluate professional and personal goals; establish and maintain professional relationships within Primary Care Service and with other services and facility management which result in improved patient care; demonstrate sound decision making skills, both clinical and administrative, which bring credit to the profession and serves to enhance the distinctive and contributory role of physicians; identify individual professional learning needs and participate in formal programs, workshops, seminars, and conferences, as well as elf-directed learning activities. The applicant must have approved clinical privileges in the areas of his/her medical expertise and in all areas required to carry out the duties of his/her assignments/responsibilities within Primary Care Service. The candidate will work in collaboration with mid-level providers as prescribed by the State of MS and Medical Board guidelines while facilitating the delivery of appropriate patient care.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday and some Saturdays; work schedules may vary depending on the needs of the service.

- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.

- Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Completion of a first-year residency, or its equivalent, approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which it was completed.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
