Operations Manager

This position is a Pipeline position that is contingent upon availability and is located in Afghanistan.


  • Manage, plan and administer the daily operational functions in the most cost effective and customer manner while optimizing efficient and secure service.

  • Significant experience managing budgets, supervising staff, reporting, and partnering with multiple departments to ensure effective operations within the work environment.

  • Ensure operational efficiencies meet corporate objectives

  • Prepare budget reports

  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly Deliverables requirements

  • Responsible for the performance of all inspection and testing activities as defined by contract

  • Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the quality performance and quality system into compliance with corporate standards.

  • Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff while setting up maintaining controls and documentation procedures

  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

  • Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability

  • Manage and monitor day to day company/department operations to include operational costs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.

  • Preparation, review and administration of contractual proposals related to construction projects

  • Work with internal Project Managers to prepare the scope, schedule and other technical documents



  • Must have solid analytical skills.

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant operations management/Quality Control experience.

  • Must possess the mental and physical powers to excel under harsh environmental conditions and demanding expectations for accomplishing a myriad of complicated and challenging tasks simultaneously and with tight deadlines.

  • Must be able to obtain a MRPT certification.

  • Must be willing to live and work in remote and austere conditions.


  • BS/BA degree or an equivalent 7+ years of experience.

  • Trained in Process Improvement implementation or Six Sigma Green Belt

  • Experience working in Program management office for Department of State or other US Government Contracts.
