Description Vision Statement: The Student Nurse Tech Program will provide the means for future RNs graduating from Kettering College to build relationships with nursing leadership at Kettering Medical Center and Sycamore Medical Center in a clinical setting.
Student Nursing Technician (SNT) serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a professional nurse. The SNT performs nursing care skills that have been delegated by the licensed registered nurse. She/he plays an integral role in the patient care experience and both directly and indirectly impacts the perception of care.
The Student Nursing Technician reports to the clinical manager.
Requirements Educational Requirements:
Nursing student in a BSN program within their 2nd or 3rd year of school
Minimum of a 3.2 GPA, no nursing courses below a "B" grade
Two out of four references from a nursing faculty will be requested by the recruiter through Skill Survey
Completion of nursing assistant orientation (student nurse version)
Must be willing to work 8-hours per pay period or 16-hours/month; this can be 4, 8 or 12 hour shifts Skills/Other:
