CGI is looking for a Microsoft SharePoint Online Developer to join our Federal Business Unit and provide SharePoint site customization, development, and application maintenance for EPA's SharePoint 2013 Online service as part of their Office365 environment. The project entails supporting the development and management for SharePoint Online apps and all the services necessary to enable the EPA to maximize it's SharePoint Online environment. Developer must be a team player and follow existing agency's security and governance policies, deployment checklists, and technical guidance. This is a dynamic position in an Agile development environment - being able to accurately estimate and hit sprint goals for time and quality is essential.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include the following:
Analyzing client requirements and drafting user stories
Planning, designing, and implementing a service application architecture
Writing code, scripts, creating templates, developing forms, and workflows acccording to user stories/specs
Unit testing and writing test cases
Diagnosis and fixing bugs
Peer review other developers' design and code
Coordinate and communicate cross-functional activities between team members
Document development efforts and communciate code changes during daily scrum calls
Contribute to overall development efforts within an agile environment
Cooperate with external project teams to support production operations
Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint 2013 and Office365 solutions
Develop UI, Business Logic, and Data Access Layers
Develop/maintain web services and suggest improvements to aid in the effort of continuous improvement
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
4-6 years overall IT/SDLC and software development experience with .NET Framework 3.5,/4.0/4.5, SharePoint 2013, InfoPath, ASP.NET, C# and XML/JSON based web services
4-6 years of experience in Microsoft Enterprise Content Management and Collaboration technologies specifically Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Server, SharePoint 2013 Online, and Office365 solutions
4-6 years of working knowledge of business workflows and Microsoft SharePoint sites, pages, forms, and web parts
3+ years planning and maintaining SharePoint and other core technologies upon which SharePoint depends, including Windows Server 2008 R2, Internet Information Services (IIS), SQL Server 2008 R2, Active Directory, and networking infrastructures
3+ years of experience installing, configuring, deploying, and managing SharePoint Server 2013 installations in either the data center or in an Office365 cloud environment
Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems or related field
Ability to produce quality code within specified time frames
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with deploying and adminstrting mulitple SharePoint farms across a large enterprise
Knowledge of the differencies between SharePoint 2010, 2013, and 2016 particularly the Service Application model
Experience configuring and managing business connectivity services features in a SharePoint 2013 deployment
Experience planning and configuring social computing or business intelligence features in a SharePoint 2013 deployment
Experience performing an upgrade or migration to SharePoint Server 2013
Experience optimizing the search experience for an enterprise environment
Experience implementing a goverance plan for SharePoint Server 2013
Proficient knowledge of Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies
