Summary: Assists production personnel with technical questions, inspection equipment, QCPs, blueprint reading and written instructions; creates operator inspection sheets; serves as inspector in all areas of production.

Essential Functions 1. Conducts in-process and set up inspections throughout production. 2. Conducts final inspections and dock audits prior to product shipment. 3. Uses various attribute, variable and transfer equipment to perform inspections. 4. Performs basic math functions to facilitate inspection. 5. Advises appropriate personnel regarding positive or negative product and process information through verbal and written communication. 6. Quarantines nonconforming product and assures that the appropriate personnel are notified. 7. Works to continuously expand knowledge of parts, inspection methods, production processes, and any other information affecting the production of quality products. 8. Adheres to Company values, Quality Policy and Department work standards. 9. Complies with BTD’s Quality System and processes.
Requirements Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Experience and Skills Required: Experience and Skills Required: 2 year technical degree in related field or at least 3 years recent manufacturing production/quality experience which includes the following skills and abilities: 1. Working knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods and practices used in manufacturing operations. 2. Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 quality assurance systems. 3. Basic knowledge of inspection equipment used in a manufacturing environment. 4. Basic knowledge of WINDOWS, MSOFFICE and E-mail. 5. The skill to identify problems and notify the appropriate personnel. 6. The ability to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions. 7. The ability to perform basic math functions. 8. The ability to accurately read, understand and interpret blueprints. 9. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. 10. An understanding of the importance of a safe work environment.
