The National Guards full-time support program requires that all military technicians are members of the National Guard and are appointed to full-time positions which correspond to their military assignments. (IAW TPR 303, 24 August 2005)
MINIMUM MILITARY GRADE: E-1
MAXIMUM MILITARY GRADE: E-8
Grade inversion within the full time workforce in not permitted. The military grade must not exceed that of the supervisor. Members applying for this position and exceeding the maximum military grade listed on this job announcement MUST submit a statement in writing that they are willing to take an administrative reduction in grade to the advertised military grade on the job announcement for which applying. Applicants who exceed the military grade will NOT be placed into the technician position until they have been administratively reduced to the military grade on the job announcement.

This position is located in the Military Personnel Office (MILPO) of the Army National Guard. The purpose of this position is to serve as the final reviewer and procedural authority of personnel actions submitted to the MILPO by lower echelons. Work is to be performed in one or more of the following work areas: Personnel Systems Management, Officer or Enlisted Personnel Management (OPM, EPM), Retirements Points Accounting Management (RPAM), Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP), Montgomery G.I. Bill, Physical Disability Evaluation System (PDES), Incapacitation Pay (INCAP), Mobilization (MOB)/Demobilization (DEMOB), TRICARE, Military Medical Support Office (MMSO), Line of Duty (LOD) investigations and Funeral Honors/Casualty Assistance.

Ability to deal cooperatively with others to obtain needed information to complete required case processing and to explain decisions or recommendations to interested parties.
Skill in compiling information and preparing reports.
Ability to plan and organize work.
Knowledge of military organizational structures, protocol and similar matters.

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Completion of 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements for GS-4 positions. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience for GS-5 positions.
