The Compensation and Pension (C&P;) Department is seeking a highly qualified physician to provide disability examinations for Veterans in collaboration with Veterans Benefits Affairs (VBA). Compensation and Pension exams serve the purpose of determining the amount of disability a Veteran might be suffering as result of their service in the military. The focused and comprehensive examinations are performed according to VBA standards and submitted electronically for rating determinations to VBA to be rated. Our goal is to provide Veterans with high quality and timely evaluations. C&P; exams are conducted in a way to skillfully balance the Veterans' need to be heard and compensated with VA's need for objective documentation of the Veterans' function. C&P; providers also provide medical opinions and perform evaluations for appeals and negligence cases. We provide services through face to face, telephone contact, and via telemedicine services. The selected physician will join a team of other physicians, CRNP's, PA's, and administrative support staff. The physician may be assigned as the preceptor to individual CRNP/PA's and would report to the Chief of C&P.;

Desired training in Worker's Compensation and Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Sports Medicine, along with significant experience in the field preferred.
