Environmental Field Chemist (II)Job ID:47383Functional Area:Chemical Tech & ManagementPosition Type:ChemistsExperience Required:2+ yrsLocation:NJ,LindenDepartment:Education Required:Associates DegreePosition Description:The Opportunity Our Environmental Field Chemist (II) is responsible for working at various customer locations and collecting, identifying and packaging hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Additionally, this position will provide leadership and mentorship to entry level Field Chemists. Key Responsibilities:Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies & processes and acting in a safe manner at all time;Works closely with leadership team;Provides leadership on customer sites;Provides mentorship to entry level Field Chemists;Collects, identifies and packages hazardous and non-hazardous waste products;Labels and prepares waste drums for pick-up and transport at customer locations;Loads wastes properly and segregates for compatibility on transport vehicle;Accumulates and records accurate billing information to ensure proper customer billing;Ensures customer satisfaction by understanding each customers' specific disposal and packaging requirements;Overall quality control of waste materials to be shipped;Ensures drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable in accordance to company policies and procedures. Requirements:Minimum of 2 years CleanPack/lab packing experience required;College degree in chemistry, biology or other natural science preferred;Clean Class B CDL or the ability to obtain quickly;Strong customer service skills;Good communication and organizational skills;Ability to travel overnight up to 30% of the time.
