Position at ITW Global Tire Repair
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Troubleshoot, repair, modify and rebuild mechanical equipment, and pneumatic and piping systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, modify and rebuild electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot industrial equipment proficiently, employing a formalized approach and making effective use of communication skills, schematics, manuals, and appropriate tools.
Perform and emphasize preventative and predictive maintenance plans.
Enter department downtime logs into Excel spreadsheets as key part of PM program.
Make emergency repairs when necessary to minimize production downtime.
Maintain equipment and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Read, understand, and follow mechanical manuals, prints and piping schematics.Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally, with people of various educational and technical backgrounds, both inside and outside the Company.
Ability to work either first or second shifts as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Good sense of organization and strong work ethic are musts.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma/GED required
2 - 5 years of direct mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
Basic industrial electrical skills
Basic computer skills; e-mail, Microsoft Word and Excel
Basic PLC skills preferred
