Position at ITW Global Tire Repair

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, modify and rebuild mechanical equipment, and pneumatic and piping systems.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, modify and rebuild electrical equipment.

  • Troubleshoot industrial equipment proficiently, employing a formalized approach and making effective use of communication skills, schematics, manuals, and appropriate tools.

  • Perform and emphasize preventative and predictive maintenance plans.

  • Enter department downtime logs into Excel spreadsheets as key part of PM program.

  • Make emergency repairs when necessary to minimize production downtime.

  • Maintain equipment and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Read, understand, and follow mechanical manuals, prints and piping schematics.Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally, with people of various educational and technical backgrounds, both inside and outside the Company.

  • Ability to work either first or second shifts as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Good sense of organization and strong work ethic are musts.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED required

  • 2 - 5 years of direct mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Basic industrial electrical skills

  • Basic computer skills; e-mail, Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Basic PLC skills preferred
