NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED
* THIS POSITION IS A TITLE 32 FEDERAL EXCEPTED TECHNICIAN POSITION. YOU MUST BE OR BECOME A MILITARY MEMBER IN THE NEW HAMPSHIRE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD.*
Current technicians selected will retain the appointment status they are currently in. (i.e., Permanent or Indefinite). Individuals from Area II or Area III will serve one year of probation and automatically convert to permanent status.
This position is located in the Joint Forces Headquarters - State, Logistics Directorate (J4/G4), Surface Maintenance Facility, FMS #2, Littleton, NH.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Army National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
Applicants who are not currently a member of the New Hampshire Army National Guard must be eligible for immediate military membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
Individuals selected for a Dual Status Excepted Service position who are not already in the appropriate NH National Guard organization will have thirty days to be appointed/enlisted.

DEFINITION OF AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION:
Area 1 =permanent or indefinite technicians currently employed with the New Hampshire National Guard.
(this area includes NH National Guard AGR's who have USERRA rights back to a technician position).
*Area 2 =AGRs, temporary technicians, or traditional/M-Day soldiers and airmen currently serving in the New Hampshire National Guard.

The position's purpose is to plan, schedule, control, and monitor the status of equipment maintenance; and to assist a higher-graded Production Controller.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-07 Must have at least 12 months experience, education or training working with people from various levels and backgrounds. Experience with a general knowledge of the functions and procedures of production control, records, references, and techniques for developing production control data. Experience assisting or maintaining workflow.
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's): *
Knowledge of production control procedures and operations sufficient to collect, compile, correlate, and maintain production data utilizing GCSS-Army as the system of record and operations
Knowledge of policies, regulations, and processes governing production control operations to carry out established production assignments.
Knowledge of equipment, such as, combat vehicles, armored personnel carriers, towed and self propelled artillery, engineer and power generating equipment, tactical vehicles, etc., to correct and analyze a variety of routine production data and processes, prepare production schedules, prepare reporting data and GCSS-Army for Maintenance Management processes.
Ability to make on-the-spot adjustments to repair priorities on routine or reoccurring processes necessitated by unscheduled maintenance requirements utilizing GCSS-Army for all maintenance business practices and records tracking.
Ability to implement maintenance plans and monitors progress of accomplishments; provides status of equipment, maintenance actions in progress, and location of equipment.
Ability to ensure that unit CL IX accounts are funded, budgeted, and executed to maximize readiness; and perform demand analysis on CL IX expenses to determine proper shop stock to sustain facility mission requirements.
*Must have knowledge and skill in GCSS-Army. *
*Must PROVIDE training certificates issued by GTRAC on the common core and Plant Maintenance course. *
*Must have performed Self-Registration using RIC A46 and the correct Unit Identification Code in the UIC block. *
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment within one year.

**This vacancy will be processed in accordance with NHNG TPR 335 & Article 16 of the Labor Management Agreement. Military compatibility and grade inversion rules will be strictly adhered to. In order to comply with the NGB compatibility criteria, selected individual will be immediately assigned to compatible military assignment
