BD Manager, Rail (UK & Europe)
Working closely with the Rail Sector Lead for Bechtel Infrastructure’s global rail business, this role will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing and new rail clients across the UK and rest of Europe.
Duties and Responsibilities
Developing multiple rail prospects (PM/CM and EPC) with UK and European clients
Developing and maintaining customer relationships, in particular with UK clients
Developing strategy and directing preparation of proposals and presentations to win new business opportunities with target customers.
Coordinating with functional departments in formulating strategy and leading proposal preparation and negotiations with customer to ensure Bechtel business objectives are met.
Managing simultaneous marketing and business development efforts.
Preparing management approval letters and present projects for internal review.
Establishing and maintaining customer relationships and strategic teaming partner relationships.
Demonstrated ability to plan and organize resources.
Detailed knowledge of UK rail sector and key rail clients
Knowledge of corporate policies and directives related to proposal
and contract formulation.
Knowledge of current industry technology.
Skill in oral and written communication with demonstrated ability in
making presentations to customers and senior management.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate customer agreements.
Knowledge in preparation of capture plans, pre-positioning, target,
pursuit and capture of strategic targets.
- Communicating effectively, interpersonal negotiating and
collaborating, managing meetings, and demonstrating self-sufficiency.
Project development and relationship management
Bachelor’s degree or Technical Degree
Six Sigma, financial acumen, and proposal process and requirements.
Thermal and transmission experience
Microsoft Excel-Power Point/Word
