Outreach Specialist/Therapeutic Mentor

Great full-time salaried opportunity to develop clinical and professional skills as part of a collaborative and supportive Family Therapy Team. Riverside's Lynnfield Home-Based Program provides intensive home- and community-based services to children ages 3-20, and their families. Therapeutic Mentors work 1:1 with children and adolescents in the community, helping clients develop a range of social, emotional, behavioral, and life skills through creative and individualized activities. Mentors also sometimes work with MA clinicians facilitating in-home family therapy.

Late afternoon and early evenings required to accommodate families' schedules.

Required Skills

  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for transportation Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in mental health/human services required.

  • Experience working with children and adolescents who have social/emotional/behavioral challenges.
