Sr Accounting Manager
The Senior Accounting Manager is part of the Corporate Shared Service Finance Team and is responsible for the payroll and expense reporting functions. This position reports to the Senior Director of Finance and works closely with HR, IT, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Finance, Treasury and Business Operations.
Senior Accounting Manager will manage a team of 24 employees including 4 direct reports. Team members are located in Marlton, NJ and Ft Worth, Texas. Travel estimated at 20%.
System administrator and functional experts for Deltek Expense Module which includes providing and maintaining training documents and conducting training
Process and audit reports for employee population in excess of 6,000
Full Spectrum of payroll support that includes:
Payroll Processing and Employee Payment
Tax Preparation and Reporting
Benefit and Payroll Accounting and Reconciliations
System Functional Experts and Interface Knowledge
IT & HR Partner for system and interface design and maintenance
Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure adequate controls and efficient practices with a core objective to deliver outstanding & compliant services
Take initiative to streamline processes and seek opportunities for standardization and optimization
Act as functional leader to ensure successful integration for new programs and projects
Partner with HR to ensure Payroll function is effective and meeting the business needs
Support key leading performance indicators and track progress vs. targets
Manage the performance of direct reports by defining responsibilities, establishing performance objectives and providing feedback and guidance
Create staff specialists with system and process expertise while fostering cross training
Support month and year end close
Support external and internal audit functions
Bachelor Degree in Accounting and a minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in public accounting and/or in a corporate accounting department.
CPA is highly desirable.
Proven supervisory experience and the ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization are required.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated; results driven individual who possesses good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently, self-review, have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced work environment.
Experience with government contracts, Deltek Costpoint, and Cognos are desirable.
Microsoft Excel proficiency required.
