We are recruiting for multiple positions for full-time Attendant Counselor to join our team in providing direct care/nursing assistance in the *Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) and Nursing Facility (NF) *at Lakeland Village. Work directly with adults with intellectual disabilities.
Assist with and promote choices in all areas of their life.
Follow each person's Individual Habilitation Plan (a plan that includes services and formal teaching that must be provided for each person).
Actively engage individuals in all possible teaching opportunities to promote their maximum independence in daily living skills, such as:
- Hygiene, Grooming, Bathing, Toileting, Dressing, Self-awareness.
- Meal preparation, Household chores.
- Social skills, Leisure, Recreation.
- Vocational Skills, Money Management, Purchasing, Community Awareness.
- Safety and Health, Pedestrian Safety, Medical Appointments.
- Reducing challenging behaviors. Work will include:
Performing personal care for adult persons of both genders.
Providing intervention to clients challenging behavior when necessary.
Documentation and reporting on formal teaching, the care provided physical, medical or behavioral changes.
Maintain clients' home, keeping it safe and clean.

High School Graduate or GED
We encourage people with previous experience working with persons with developmental disabilities and or persons possessing Nursing Assistant Certified to apply.
We provide training for applicants who do not have previous experience.
