Washington State DSHS PBX and Telephone Operator On-Call in Medical Lake, Washington


Lakeland Village is recruiting for energetic On-call *PBX and Telephone Operators *to operate a large private branch telephone exchange and to perform other duties to include customer service and clerical. Scheduled hours of work vary. We are looking for candidates that have open availability.


Key responsibilities include

Operate an electronic switchboard (Meridian Multi-line Digital Private Branch Exchange). Engage in customer service and public relations for callers, visitors, employees, and clients. Operate computer-based, alpha-numeric paging system. Monitor campus wide multi-panel fire alarm and fire suppression system. Contact maintenance for minor repairs to facility. Disseminate all emergency calls related to medical, behavior, fire, and disaster. Receive and log all employee call-ins, notify proper personnel. Monitor and check out keys, cell phones, two way radios, or visitor's badges to appropriate personnel. Perform, log, and track outgoing SCAN call from facility for appropriate personnel. Monitor vehicle/activity requests and check out state vehicles to appropriate personnel. Create/copy/file various forms used at the front desk.


The successful candidate will have the following required qualifications

Graduation from high school or GED (General Educational Development) equivalency and at least one (1) year of experience as a receptionist, switchboard operator, PBX operator, radio communications operator, or experience performing clerical office work which required direct public contact.

Additional operator or clerical experience will substitute, year for year, for education.
