Job Summary: Provides professional pharmacy services. Reviews, interprets, monitors and dispenses medications, drugs and other pharmaceutical as prescribed by physician and according to professional standards. REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy, M.S., and/or Pharm D preferred. Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the neonate, infant, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates. Experience in patient care as obtained through completion of an approved pharmacy program. An ability and willingness to apply pharmacy knowledge and skills and maintain clinical competency as required in pharmaceutical care which includes practices, compounding, dispensing, primary care, clinical monitoring, performance improvement and inventory control. Knowledge of drug products, their uses, side effects, toxicities and therapeutic does range is required. An ability to manage a sometimes chaotic work environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes. Demonstrates skill in the use of applicable equipment; mature judgment and initiative required; is able to work without direct supervision; shows professional interest through self-development, continuing education, and involvement in professional organizations; presents a positive attitude and professional appearance. Ability to give and follow written and oral instructions; ability to communicate effectively with team members, physicians, nursing and others with whom daily interaction must take place.; ability to react and perform under stress in emergency situations; ability to plan and organize work for self and others; ability to exercise analytical judgment on work to be done; ability to work independently; flexible to meet priorities and needs. Computer proficiency to enter and retrieve information. Tennessee Licensure as a Pharmacist. Additional certification may be required based on assignment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Subject to standing, walking, sitting, lifting, pulling, reaching and bending to access supplies and fill orders; wrist and digital dexterity. Graduate of accredited school of Pharmacy. TN State Licensure Required
