Ministry Health Care is currently hiring a Occupational Therapist/Supervisor for Good Samaritan Health Center! This is a Full Time, benefit eligible position scheduled to work Monday - Friday! The Rehabilitation Therapy Supervisor, under the direction of the Director of Diagnostic and Therapeutics , organizes, conducts and offers day to day supervision of all rehab staff. The supervisor facilitates additional learning opportunities to enhance functions essential to adaptation and productivity. 1. Evaluates inpatients and outpatients in relation to their diagnosis. Evaluations are comprehensive and timely, methods are appropriate to various diagnostic groups. Documentation (daily charges, MA and other reports) is complete, legible, accurate, timely and reflective of department standards. Ensures all staff meet charging and discharging standards. 2. Formulates a treatment plan which is patient focused and relevant to the actual and potential health problems of the patient. Delegates parts of the treatment program to the assistant for overall departmental efficiency and uses supportive personnel to perform duties within his/her abilities. 3. Provides education at the level appropriate for each patient. Patient and/or significant other’s learning needs are assessed, addressed, and documented per department standards. 4. Initiates, coordinates, and communicates collaborative efforts (provider updates, discharge planning) amongst health team members and other interested parties (insurance companies, Rehab nurses, etc.) to show a comprehensive picture of the patient. 5. Demonstrates leadership and supervision of the staff in the delivery of services, conducting performance evaluations of staff, coordinating schedules, reporting appropriate concerns and advising the Director of matters requiring the Director’s involvement.

  1. Develops goals and objectives for Department, assists Director with development of annual budget for department, and ensures that goals and objectives are met for the fiscal year. Qualifications: Graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy program with successful completion of AOTCB examination. 3-5 years of direct clinical work including progressive supervisory experience. Must hold active licensure for Wisconsin or a permit from licensing board while awaiting licensure examination. Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain within 3 months. Demonstrates competency in therapeutic assessments and interventions, strong interpersonal relationship skills and ability to communicate well orally and in written format.
