Kettering Medical Center IMAGING SYSTEMS ANALYST SR in Miamisburg, Ohio
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, coordinating resolution activities with vendors and other IS team as required.
Follow established change management processes and guidelines on the implementation of fixes into application production environments. Document and communicate fixes to the appropriate stakeholders for review. Coordinate approved production moves through change control systems.
Propose upgrades and enhancements to imaging and dictation systems based on physician/stakeholder feedback. Prepare business requirements for systems based on feedback and propose upgrade/enhancement plans for approval.
Evaluate and test new imaging/dictation technologies as assigned by the Imaging Systems Coordinator. Conduct product research, collect business requirements, and identify potential vendors.
Plan imaging system and data storage implementations for new hospitals and facilities in collaboration with the Imaging Systems Coordinator. Develop capital and operating cost estimates for inclusion in overall startup plans.
Conduct RFPs for system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. Collect vendor quotes and forecast implementation costs based on all required hardware, software, and vendor support components. Recommend projects for implementation based on ROI analyses of new system services/capabilities.
Lead the implementation of assigned imaging and dictation systems projects. Assist the Imaging Systems Coordinator in the development of detailed project plans and overall budgets. Assign tasks to project team members based on their capabilities and experience. Coordinate activities with hardware, software, and support vendors as required. Ensure all tasks are completed on-time.
Set cross-platform technical standards for imaging systems in collaboration with the Imaging Systems Coordinator. Review and assess new technologies for compliance with these standards.
Recommend data storage expansions based on storage forecasts and analyses. Prepare cost estimates for data storage equipment for approval.
Educate and mentor Imaging Systems Analysts on complex system setup, configuration, and troubleshooting activities.
Participate in on-call rotations to support off-hours application support.
Perform the responsibilities of an Imaging Systems Analyst as appropriate.
Computer related degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience
5 years of experience in networked software applications
Client/server networking and server administration experience
Experience in systems analysis, data gathering techniques, and IT testing methodologies
Knowledge of industry standard imaging systems and standards (HL7, Di-com)
Experience in medical imaging RIS and PACS applications/modalities
Project management experience
SQL database administration experience
Working knowledge of biomedical systems
Understanding of radiology workflow
Basic anatomical/clinical knowledge preferred
