Description Major Responsibilities
Ensures that project management principles are consistently applied across all projects and follow organizational project management standards (PMI).
Able to function as Business Relationship Manager (BRM) for assigned service line, site, or hospital.
Assists with identification and implementation of improvements to Information Technology systems that enhance delivery of physician services to patients.
Ability to manage multiple Service Line or campus level projects at any given time without any degradation in the quality of work performed.
Develop and maintain processes, tools, and methodologies that support effective project management functions in the areas of planning, decision-making, resource allocation, status tracking, and project success criteria.
Ability to communicate, manage, and provide clear direction to senior level stakeholders (typically Senior Leadership and/or Project Sponsor).
Ability to collaborate with Senior Project Manager/Program Manager and take project assignments that contribute to key initiative and strategies.
Communicate appropriately with leadership by providing project status reports, productivity impact analysis, and planning support in accordance with organizational and Project Management Office (PMO) standards.
Ability to identify project risks and mitigation strategies.
Prioritize projects in alignment with Kettering Health Network goals and strategies.
Support and collaborate with operational leaders in the development of project plans for approved projects. Aid in the identification of project goals, overall objectives, and stakeholder expectations.
Ability to identify and resolve change management issues between projects and affected departments. Support the resolution of issues as needed.
Capability and experience facilitating diverse teams including clinical teams and physician teams highly desired.
Ability to work through project initiation which includes, collection of business requirements, operational assessment, and stakeholder alignment.
Proven experience with building strong relationships with key customers and effective communication strategies.
Participate on the Physician Advisory Committee, the Ambulatory Steering Committee, planning for Information Technology system upgrades and education initiatives to help physicians adapt to system and workflow changes.
Collaborate with Physicians, Clinical Informatics, Medical Staff, Medical Education, and Epic teams.
Prepare cost-benefit analyses on projects, monitor project deadlines and costs, and conduct post implementation reviews.
Collaborate on the implementation of intra and inter department process improvements designed to improve processes, templates, efficiency, and effectiveness based on project results and stakeholder input.
Ability to effectively facilitate training offerings and certification programs.
Ability to perform process analysis, research, project design, operations management, and data quality/integrity measurements.
Organization and Planning Skills
Healthcare Business Acumen
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Understanding of healthcare business systems and processes preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required, or must obtain within one year of hire.
Certification in Lean or Six Sigma, or must obtain within one year of hire.
3 years’ work experience in leading projects utilizing project management methods with proven implementation of detailed work plans
Proficiency in software applications such as MS Office, Visio, SharePoint, database applications, MS Project, Minitab, etc.
