Description “This position requires working with patients and other callers in response to both hospital and physician billing questions in a sometimes highly emotional and/or financial crisis for the caller and being able to diffuse the anxiety and assist with the issue and deliver excellent customer service to the caller. The position also requires a working knowledge of all insurance payers to answer patient questions related to how their claim was paid by their payer, cash/refund processing to research missing payments, and denial and member appeals process to guide patient on resolution of a denied claim/service. This position also requires a high level knowledge of the types of hospital and professional services to understand how denials impact the service related to the patient’s benefit/coverage plan. Performs other duties as assigned.”


Requirements “3-5 years Previous experience in hospital or physician or both patient accounting, medical billing, & medical terminology. Strong proven customer service skills.”
