Description/Job Summary


This positon is responsible for transporting and delivering product in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. This positon will also work in the warehouse performing all functions of a Material Handler position.




  • Deliver/pickup product in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner

  • Regular cleaning, maintenance, and routine inspection of company vehicles

  • Occasional delivery of local customers, retail stores, and special events

  • Loading and unloading trucks with the customer’s and Company’s expectations in mind

  • Frequent transportation of hazardous material (powder, primers, etc.)

  • Frequent transport of Company supplies, mail, and internal orders between facilities

Material Handling

  • Loads/unloads product to/from incoming and outgoing delivery trucks in a safe manner

  • Verifies proper receipt of products

  • Moves pallets of product to designated area in the facility.

  • Picks orders

  • Stocks product

  • Arranges warehouse product based on neatness and efficiency

  • Receives and listens to oral instructions to determine work assignment

  • Performs other routine jobs as directed by leadership


  • Responsible for clean-up of designated areas

  • Conducts all aspects of the material handling job safely and efficiently

  • Receives and applies training in the proper handling, movement and storage of materials

  • Reports safety violations to Supervisor or Manager

  • Corrects observed unsafe handling practices of self and peers

  • Inspects any Company vehicle before operating


  • Contributes to Brownells’ goal of providing a hazard-free workplace

  • Participates in continuous process improvements


  • Works cooperatively with fellow employees, Team Leads, and management to accomplish objectives

  • Assists in filling out forms and documenting material movement and location of inventory to ensure timely, damage-free, and accurate shipments and stock

Position Requirements

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

  • H.S. Educ. Or Equivalent

  • Shipping processes

  • Must have CDL

  • Forklift experience

  • Must have Endorsement for Hazardous Materials

  • Haz-Mat
