Department Description: nullJob Location: Needham, MAReq ID: 18084BRJob Summary: Provides administrative support to the Breast Care Center. Performs various administrative functions requiring excellent knowledge of departmental services, in person and on the telephone. Schedules all appointments and exams as required. Prepares and maintains files. Outstanding customer services skills required in fast paced environment. Obtain copayments during the check-in and check-out process and reconcile daily sheets. Interacts with diverse population internally in and externally from the hospital. Ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail. Develops and maintains harmonious working relationships with various disciplines.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Greets patients who check in at Breast Care Center reception desk, and direct them as appropriate, for their appointments.

Process patients' paperwork from patient registration for patients' visits in department.

Acts as a liaison between patients, referring physicians, other hospital services and the physicians.

  • Answer practice telephone, take messages, and respond to patients and others in a timely manner, triage calls as appropriate.

  • Ensure that patient's needs are met. Responds to patient inquiries and resolves issues by working with providers and staff in a professional matter. Ensures patient satisfaction is a priority.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred.

  • 0-1 years related work experience required.

  • Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare setting

  • Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
