Department Description: nullJob Location: Needham, MAReq ID: 18603BRJob Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the Controller in all aspects of financial statement production including system controls, operating and capital budget preparation, cash management, and other corporate reportings for the Hospital.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepares a variety of recurring financial transactions, reports, and analyses related to the Hospital financial statements.

  • Prepares monthly journal entries for assigned accounts, ensuring all activity is recorded and reconciled.

  • Prepares analyses of revenue and expenses variances, providing management with explanations for current and prior year changes, and projected impact.

  • Responds to questions and solves problems as requested by department managers. This includes responding to questions or problems pertaining to the Departmental Budget Comparison Report (DBCR).

  • Responsible for monthly DBCR and Labor reports distribution to departments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.

  • 3-5 years related work experience required.

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Meditech experience.

  • Healthcare and hospital finance experience.

  • Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
