Rutgers University Administrative Assistant (PT Temporary) in New Brunswick, New Jersey
The Institute for Quantitative Biomedicine (IQB) is seeking a temporary part-time administrative assistant that can work in a fast-paced office setting, assisting in varied ways to support research groups, students, and other research group members. Tasks requiring assistance include, but are not limited to, preparing travel and business expense reports, setting up appointments, supporting the production of regular and special events, and supporting the preparation of grant proposals. Will work primarily with the Associate Director of IQB and the Administrative Coordinator of IQB.
Minimum Education and Experience
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Requires up to two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
Ability to work in a fast paced office, familiarity with basic administrative roles, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Rutgers administration is preferred but not required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
At least one year of relevant experience in an administrative role is desirable. Good communication, interpersonal skills, and computer literacy are essential. Administrator needs good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software.
