Samsung Mobile Logistics Coordinator in New Jersey

General Description

Responsible for a transactional part of the logistics cycle of all Samsung products from manufacturing through warehouses, to the customer, or process customer product returns and claims. Under the guidance of a manager. The position ensures the smooth transportation of routine product through the transportation channel through the management of individual shipments in transit, the selection of standard shipping methods or warehousing methods, the collection and processing of delivery and documentation and the processing of claims through phone and personal contact with logistics colleagues at our business partners, internal partners, and customers.

  • Conduct a transactional process from factory to customer distribution or retail center under managerial supervision, making routine decisions using pre-determined decision alternatives on matters that have light to moderate impact on business operations.

  • Track and resolve shipping, warehouse, carrier shipping errors, and damaged products claims following general guidelines, getting manager authority for exceptional or high cost deviations.

  • Complete transportation transactions from factory to customer delivery, focusing on one of the following areas: Inbound shipment tracking and delivery from overseas manufacturing to local distribution and warehousing facilities. Product management within the warehouse facility.

  • Outbound shipping and delivery to customer distribution or retail centers.

  • Reverse logistics processing return shipments from customers to Samsung hubs, including reconciling claims and invoice discrepancies.

Necessary Skills / Attributes

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years of directly related experience is required.

  • Bachelor or equivalent degree or experience preferred.

  • Typically has general knowledge of logistics operations related to employee’s specific area of work, and limited knowledge of overall logistics operations.

  • Education in business, supply chain, economics, or similar

  • Experience with SAP

  • Microsoft Excel skills – basic to intermediate

  • This is a full-time position based in the Dallas, TX office.

  • Due to the nature of business, this role requires the incumbent to be onsite in the office Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and must be able to work regular extended hours in the office and on business trips (often with minimal notice).

  • Environmental factors: Seated primarily at a desk, operate a computer keyboard and mouse, view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity.

  • The movement and transportation of work equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds.

  • Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines.

  • Ability to travel without restrictions within the United States and Canada, up to 10% of the time depending on department and business needs. Travel may include overnight travel via car or airplane.
