Marketing Assitant Manager Location – Ridgefield Park, NJ The key role and responsibility of the Marketing Planning and Management is to marketing budget management : monitor the spending status and process improvement related. Marketing assistant manager will make a report on current marketing issue and activity of each division and subsidiaries to the management in NAHQ/GBM/GMO in English and in Korean. Marketing assistant manager will support Marketing activation for Korean Media/Correspondents and Local sponsorship. Marketing assistant manager also provide competitive intelligence and market sensing to the key stakeholders in NAHQ and HQ and serve as the change agent to set up the right process and rule in implementing marketing and marketing operation. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Regular Reporting on competitive intelligence and marketing issue : Assistant Manager will monitor and gather marketing issue across division/subsidiary, and make a documentation in a strategic way, and provide insightful information to the key stakeholders on time in English and Korean.

  • Support reporting on NAHQ Marketing News: Assistant Manager will gather marketing activities across division/subsidiary and make a news bulletin to share it with HQ/NAHQ on a monthly basis.

  • Budget Management: Assistant Manager will monitor the use and progress of the department budget and report the status of spending

  • Marketing PR / Sponsorship and Korean Media Management : Assistant Manager will coordinate Marketing PR issue with PR Department and Product Management in NAHQ/HQ. Assistant Manager will support the event for Korean Media/ correspondent ; press release in Korean And Assistant Manager support sponsorship marketing toward the Korean organization and Local organization

  • Presentation Preparation: Assistant Manager will be responsible for the creation of presentations on progress of marketing activities and projects; .

  • Coordination with Subsidiaries: Assistant Manager will interact with divisions to identify the current marketing issues and to find out the solution across division and subsidiary Performance Standards (How will duties be measured)

  • Clarity of Communication: Position is judged on clarity of communication skills. Reporting must be deep enough to provide real insight while simultaneously being concise enough to attract the attention of the key stakeholders.

  • Creative and Insightful Reporting : Document should always be accurate and relevant to the key strategy and VOB. Insightful and Synthetic approach in making documentation and presentation preparation should be key performance.

  • Timeliness of Reporting: Ongoing reporting should be released in as timely a fashion as possible for real-time use by Samsung key stakeholders. The specified scheduling of Samsung reporting should be met at a level of over 95%.

  • Marketing Team : Position frequently interfaces with marketing team across subsidiary in reporting relevant information in a timely and concise fashion.

  • Global Marketing Organization: Position will frequently collaborate with the Global Marketing Organization’s to optimize the use of shared resources.

  • Global Business Management: Position interfaces with global business units to provide market trend and insight to inform the North American strategies of each business unit. Direct reports to Manager and Director

Necessary Skills / Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business management or Marketing or Psychology major)

  • 56 years of experience in Marketing Planning and Management and Brand Marketing CE & FMCG industry or Advertising agency experience preferred

  • High degree of communication skills using Microsoft Office products

  • Highly analytic and synthetic skills

  • English and Korean Fluency
