TheEND Technologistperforms Electroencephalographic studies (EEG), Ambulatory EEG’s, Evoked Potential studies (EP) and Long Term Monitoring for Epilepsy (LTME). The END technologist provides findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures. The END Technologist performs procedures appropriate to their competence and credentials held under general technical supervision . Performs other duties as assigned.
An END must have all of the following in addition to being BLS certified:
One or more years of END education that has been approved by the Committee on Accreditation for Education in Electrodiagnostic technology (Cc-END) with an associate’s degree or higher.
One or more years experience in the performance of END procedures in a patient care environment.
Ability to travel and perform studies at all Tulane facilities.
Ability to take call coverage with an expected 45 minute response to facility time.
Strong, well developed communication skills.
Well developed PC and Microsoft™Office®and Windows®knowledge.
