Crisis Text Line Office Manager in New York City, New York

Reports to: Director of Finance

Time commitment: Full-time position, occasional non-business hours required (sometimes we hold cool events after office hours!).

Overview: The Office Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the everyday operations of our fast-paced, impact-making org are running smoothly. You’re able to handle a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and work independently. This is for you if you’re exceedingly well organized, detailed, flexible, and enjoy the challenges of quick pivots. You are the glue that holds our team together!

What you’ll do:

Office Management

  • The goods. Monitor, order, organize, and restock supplies as needed.

  • The space. Act as the office liaison for the building, services, and mail. Ensure the office is informed on and compliant with fire safety, labor laws, etc. Ensure security as quarterback of all keys.

  • The IT. Own phones, office TVs, and general equipment ensuring all work and are up to date.

  • Events. Own coordination for in-office meetings and events - hook us up with yummy food!

Staff Administration

  • Personnel. Support staff by creating a clean, calm, efficient work environment. Facilitate new staff on boarding.

  • Benefits. Assist with enrollment and act as point person for questions. Own Zenefits (benefits system), and PTO tracking.

  • Staff retreat. Own planning for this annual event!

  • Expense tracking. Compile and account for executive team credit cards.

  • Internship program. Play point on creating the best experience possible for our Spring, Summer, and Fall intern rotations. This includes job posting, orientation, and outings!

  • Culture. You’ll set the tone, facilitate weekly staff meetings, and strengthen the connection between our office and remote employees.


  • Proven attention to detail, problem solving skills, and self-guidance.

  • Clear communication skills and presentation.

  • A hunger to do get things done--and fast!
