The Business Development and Sales Associate position is a team-oriented role working in close partnership with sales leadership, seasoned sales professionals, and cross-functional teams to aid in the growth of the firm. This is a superior opportunity for an individual to obtain broad experience within the Green Street organization to hone multiple skill sets to promote long term career advancement within one of the many growing Green Street departments.
Work closely with leadership to manage incoming and identify business development opportunities, including defining and implementing processes to value and rank opportunities across opportunities of varying client/prospect types and characteristics
For top opportunities, work with senior sales people to define a use-case, sales strategy, pricing, and product proposals.
Act as Team’s primary liaison with marketing group to facilitate events, speaking engagements, and proactive marketing materials and strategies.
Work with sales leadership leveraging cumulative experiences of the sales team and client feedback to develop technology platform and product development enhancements, and work with these groups to implement value added change
Work with senior sales personnel to ensure sales pipelines are efficiently managed and prospects are proactively and properly communicated with.
Develop, draft, and maintain processes and procedures and ensure accuracy of information within Green Street’s proprietary prospect database, including contact discovery and aggregation.
Act as team point person for client pricing proposal and agreement preparation, including interfacing with firm’s legal counsel.
Amass and synthesize large amounts of customer, real estate, transaction, and securities data to develop client engagement initiation plans.
Bring creative solutions and ideas to senior management based on team feedback, organic thought, and identified inefficiencies.
Participate in sales and research meetings and calls to develop sales skills and knowledge of Green Street’s industry leading research and services.
Continually interact with senior sales personnel and research team members to gain knowledge and become expertly conversant about Green Street’s research, commercial real estate, and REITs.
In addition to a strong work ethic and motivation to learn, the Associate position requires the following skills:
2-5+ years of successful sales and/or sales support experience in leading software, financial services, information services, commercial real estate or other technology-based companies. Business-to-business environments preferred.
Exceptional data and computer skills to perform essential functions (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
Demonstrated success in meeting goals and objectives
Commercial Real Estate experience helpful, but not required
Must have or be able to obtain Series 65 license within 60 days of employment
Meticulous attention to detail, high level of organization, creativity and resourcefulness
Excellent communication, inter-personal, and listening skills
Sales-driven personality with a results oriented, competitive nature
