This position is based at Instron’s Electro-Mechanical (EM) equipment division located in Norwood, Massachusetts.

The Opportunity

This is a key role within the Divisional Leadership team responsible for:

  • Oversight of the day-to-day financial operations and processes including AP, AR, Inventory/Cost Accounting, payroll, and support.

  • The preparation and submission of monthly financial statements and the financial analysis of results. Provide variance explanations for actuals compared to plan, forecast and prior year.

  • Managing the financial planning and forecasting processes. Delivering accurate and timely monthly financial forecasts. Providing measurable and accurate financial targets to evaluate the performance of the business.

  • Leading, driving and implementing changes to simplify processes and eliminate complexity within the business that will enhance financial performance.

  • Contributing to the creation and implementation of strategic plans.

Job Requirements


Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance combined with at least 8 years experience in financial reporting and analysis, cost reduction, inventory costing and control, operational accounting, financial statement management and team leadership. Additional requirements include:
