Consultant, Software Engineering
Overview\n\nThis team is responsible for the development of both business and infrastructure projects on the MasterCard debit transaction processing system\nThis team works with other application teams to develop, integrate, and implement ATM, POS, ECOM and Mobile transaction processing capabilities\nTeam members are responsible for the analysis, design, development and delivery of software solutions on the MasterCard Debit System \nTeam members support production issues and defects as well as provide daily support of platform\nTeam members support the implementation of Authorization releases 4 times per year plus all emergency changes\nA person best suited for this position should consider the following questions:\nQ: Do you have electronic funds transfer (EFT) transaction processing experience?\nQ: Have you developed object oriented applications using the C++ language?\nQ: Do you have HP NS platform experience?\n\nRole\n\nDesign complex applications that interface and integrate with other application platforms in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes and best practices\nDevelop software that runs in an efficient manner on the HP NS platform. \nLead junior resources and provide input into the performance appraisal process \nEngage in internal and external public speaking and other communications conveying domain level directions\nAnalyze and evaluate tools to support domain-specific needs\n\nAll About You\n\nBachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent work experience\nBroad understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required\nExperience with the following: HP NS, Unix/Linux, C++, usability testing\nPossesses strong communication skills -- both verbal and written and strong relationship, collaborative skills and organizational skills\nWillingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities and to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team
