Senior Consultant, Software Engineering


The Advisors Data Solutions team supports a variety of business intelligence solutions for MasterCard. These solutions take a variety of forms utilizing a number of technologies. From a development perspective the primary toolset is .Net and JavaScript. The primary data repositories are Oracle, Netezza, SQL Server and Hadoop. Third-party products utilized to deliver solutions are Microsoft€™s Business Intelligence toolset and Information Builder€™s WebFocus reporting product. Most solutions are delivered via a web component for consumption. The primary focus of this team is to deliver reporting, analytic and visualization solutions for internal and external consumption.


The responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to: serve as a solution architect for the Application Solution Delivery team, identifying and engaging in forward looking initiatives and strategies for advancing Reporting, Analytics and Visualization capabilities of the team; define and collaborate for process and standards governance surrounding the business intelligence solution(s); define and collaborate standards for performance of the environment; define and collaborate to establish metrics for evaluating effectiveness of the supported solutions; define and advise for roadmap of analytic and visualization capabilities; define strategy and process for integration of Mobile capabilities as it pertains to delivery of solutions; define and participate in forward looking activities surrounding integration of new or emerging products, data and appliances; and provide liaison and support to the technology and business organizations supporting or utilizing the business intelligence infrastructure.

Demonstrated experience to define and propose new/emerging technology directions is required.

Demonstrated experience with Web development process is required.

Demonstrated experience with Analytic and Visualization solutions is required.

Demonstrated experience with Mobile capabilities is required.

Familiarity with Windows .NET application framework is required.

Demonstrated experience working with business and technical teams to determine data approaches required.

Demonstrated experience with Oracle or similar database management systems is required.

Demonstrated experience with Business Intelligence/Business Analytics toolsets is required.

Demonstrated experience with integration of new/emerging technologies is required.

Demonstrated experience with Application Server infrastructure is required.

Demonstrated experience implementing Identity Framework WIF/Identitiy Model (SAML, JWT).

Experience with PCI/PII compliance related activities are a plus.

Experience with Data Appliance infrastructure and data management is a plus.

Ability to manage multiple projects is required.

Experience working with large data repositories is desired.

Experience with Netezza data repositories, Sharepoint, and Cloudera Hadoop are a plus.
