Vice President, Product Management Security & Decision Products
Overview\nThe Security & Decision Products team within ESS is responsible for product management and innovative product development of solutions to address the evolving risk and security needs of MasterCards various customer segments. \nThe ESS team was established with the responsibility to safeguard all aspects of safety and security in payments and have made great strides with new products/services positively impacting all aspects of our current and future payment eco-system.\n\nThis position will be responsible for developing innovative product solutions that bring value to both consumers and merchants at the point of interaction.\nThe focus will be to develop global, scalable solutions aimed at maximizing the customer shopping experience by assisting merchants with products that help increase approval rates while minimizing fraud losses. \n\nHave you ever brought a product to market on a global scale?\nDo you have a track record of getting things done in a large corporate environment?\nAre you innovative and comfortable with thoughtful risk-taking?\n\nRole\nLeads ideation of global product strategy into innovative new product solutions to address customer needs, market trends, and competitive opportunities\nEvaluates and prioritizes global and/or regional product ideas, market opportunities and determines which projects to initiate development efforts \nIdentifies and recommends new payments products, services, and capabilities in partnership with internal and external stakeholders at a global and regional level \nDemonstrates and executes thought leadership, product expertise, strong project management skills in the integration of technology into new products \nResponsible for delivering profitable product P&L results \nSupervises product managers, sets objectives, monitors performance against goals, coaches and develops employees and completes performance appraisals \nLeads go-to-market process to productize new solutions including market research, pricing strategy, product development, product marketing and timely execution. \nInteracts with technical developers to translate product requirements into technical specifications ensuring mutual understanding to minimize time to market\nCollaborates with Product Managers to identify, evaluate and prioritize business cases to improve/enhance existing business and product opportunities \nValidates technical delivery and ensures that output complies with the product requirements and is fit-for-purpose \nDevelops or enhances value propositions for MasterCard products and customer segments either globally or in a region or territory \n\nAll About You\nDemonstrated success in product management and product development:\nProven success at synthesizing products from multiple functional areas into compelling value propositions that align with customer needs on a global level\nDemonstrated ability to act as subject matter expert/product champion by presenting compelling product propositions to key stakeholders at internal or external industry events \nDemonstrated success building relationships and delivering results with external stakeholders as well as global, multi-cultural and remote project teams\nExperience with facilitating and coordinating major product and strategic development initiatives for a global organization \nIn-depth knowledge of payments industry, merchant and/or acquiring business, and payments processing \nProven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders. \nDemonstrated business acumen and ability to manage integrated product solutions spanning multiple channels/segments (i.e., issuer, acquirer, merchant, cardholder, local, regional, global) \nProven expertise in building winning business cases, translating them into stories to gain approval, and delivering strong P&L results \n Experience directing teams to high performance levels \n Deep understanding of product development life cycle & product management principles \n Business acumen with the ability to create solutions that produce positive results for customers and MasterCard \n Outstanding verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to deliver compelling presentations \n Best-in-class negotiation and management skills \n\nAdditional\n MBA preferred
